My name is Morgan Smith. Welcome to my Master's Defense Portfolio!
I am a graduate of Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) with a degree in Elementary Education and Middle School Spanish. Currently, I am a student at National Louis University, seeking a Masters Degree in Urban Education, and am a part of the Academy for Urban School Leadership (AUSL). This year, I have been a 3rd grade resident teacher at Howe School of Excellence in the Austin Community in Chicago, IL.
In this Master's Defense Portfolio, I explore how my own teaching and learning has grown and progressed over the last year in areas such as my own teaching identity, classroom community, my planning, instruction, assessment, and more. Included within this portfolio, you will find evidence to support my growth over the year. In addition, you will discover my plan of action for next year as a first year teacher at Howe School of Excellence.
